I am a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur.

I LOVE coffee. Iced or hot, I’m ready for a cup of Joe. I basically live by the sign that hangs above my coffee station “Coffee, the best meal of the day.” That’s right! I say to the sign that encourages my addiction.

So, you know I’m on the hunt for the very best coffee around; and I have a few top picks to share with you (not Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts). These spots are nestled through Columbus and are local favorites.

Let’s just say, Columbus is not short on great coffee shops! Every suburb has their go-to shop located at the heart of their uptowns and downtown Columbus is full of delicious coffee shops posted at every corner.

That being said, there are so many amazing shops out there, that are simply not on this list, but equally great! This list shares the ones I personally love and want to share with you. I enjoy getting to support local shops, then mass chains and is why I decided to start a blog to share about the great spots in Columbus.

The Coffee Hall and Creamery

MARYSVILLE, OH

Spot #1

Located in Marysville, Ohio. The Coffee Hall and Creamery serves some of the best lattes, holiday favorites, and breakfast goodies. They have perfected quality crafted coffee drinks, with ingredients sourced locally. Like their Honey Vanilla Latte, made with local honey from Boke’s Creek Orchard and vanilla syrup. It delicious!

If you’re hungry, they have some local treats to enjoy and breakfast sandwiches. My personal favorite is Tuscan Pizza or Jalapeno bagel with bacon, egg and cheese.

Located in Galena, Ohio. The Coffee Vault is a highly rated favorite and for good reason.

This location was originally a bank that has now been transformed to a cute and cozy coffee shop space.

River Road Coffeehouse

Granville, OH

Spot #3

Love love love River Road Coffeehouse!

While I love a good classic Cafe Au Lait and regular Latte, but my favorite is the River Road Mocha. This location is a great place stay and read or work while you enjoy your drink and one of their breakfast items or pastries.

Gluten free food options available and alternative milks.

Fox in the Snow Cafe

Don’t sleep on Fox in the Snow Cafe! This warm and inviting coffee spot draws the crowds in with their amazing and highly-rated breakfast sandwich, pastries and high quality coffee selection.

Truly one of the best spots in Columbus, with multiple locations throughout the city.

My favorite is the Souffled Egg Sandwich with New Orleans Iced Coffee.

Conclusion

With all the great coffee shops in Columbus, you can’t really go wrong. The shops highlighted in this post are just a few I truly enjoy. Their food, coffee and environment, make it enjoyable to visit and stay a while. Enjoy!
